I make sure they don't need the gear before I ''need'' it DICK!.... I really want to thank you for calling me a dick... It gives me hope that there are intelligent people out there....

This is not WOWhiners!!!
^This. I always examine people before I Need roll for glamour; just seems like common courtesy to me. At the same time though, I wouldn't initiate a vote kick for this.

With pleasure. At least ask if it is ok if you roll need on gear you don't need instead of being a ninja looter... This is the most common reason for which I have votekicked people over the years. I would be fine with it if everyone could roll need for equal chance on gear, but this isn't the case and you just encourage a system that benefits tanks and healers (who can never have competition). Challenge the system instead of becoming a slave under it!
I have personally never been votekicked myself, but had a friend who became votekicked because people could not stand his way. I could certainly see why, but I ran the dungeon with him because he needed to farm some stuff, so obviously I left as my reason to keep running disappeared when he was kicked.
Learn, explore, and think for yourself. Make your choices, take actions, and let yourself be free.
About a year ago, when there was no Heavensward and I was 50 with my first and only job (WHM), I was still new to the game and I was doing all the Main story quests. I queued for ifrit HM for the first time and we wiped once.
By accident I cancelled a pop up window. Then I noticed that we have 1 less member and we had to wait for someone. About 5 or 10 minutes later I saw that I was the leader and there wasn't any "finding new member" in the duty list and someone asked why in the party chat...
I said i would look for the option and I did but I couldn't find it. I didn't know and I kept looking around the party options...
so I asked, but no one cared to answer...
then I finally found it in the less expected place (at least for me back then), in 'duty finder'
(I thought "we are already in a duty, why would i look in df?")
So i hit it and got kicked 3 seconds later...
I dont blame them tho, even if they didn't answer my question, I kept them waiting for like 15 minutes![]()

I feel your pain with jp servers (same server).
Had a Toto-rak run once where we missed one of the magitek orb thingys, being the tank I went back to go get it and as we went further back I just got kicked all of a sudden.
the only time I think I been kick was in brayflox normal. because I said i was new to the group we did good until the last boss. I really got no clue what to do after of some run i was kick for not knowing the fight.
I don't have much to add to this because I've never been vote kicked out of a Dungeon/Raid before in all my time of playing this game since 2.0 launched. I've unfortunately had to kick people though for either trolling, afk'ing, harassment or outright refusing to play the game because they're having a temper tantrum for some reason.
The sad thing is that I've seen a lot of people do these things too. You'd think people would be more mature than that but nope they act like 5 year old children over the dumbest things.

I've only been kicked once. I was d/c for what felt like one second and I immediately got back to the game to discover I got kicked.
I was Tank at the time and rejoined but pt reasoning was I can be quickly replaced on d/c lol
I was vote kicked during WoD because I fell asleep during the dragon fight! I had a long day at work and I guess I got too comfortable.![]()
The first and only vote kick I got was in an AK Hard run, which that dungeon is insanely easy. It was the second boss, we wiped three times because the dps wouldn't kill the martyr. Ya know, that one add that has the only AOE attack that can possibly lead to a wipe? Ya, after two wipes I got on chat and told them to "kill the martyr first," then was kicked. I was pretty upset at first, but then I realized that they were morons and saved me the 30 minute lockout penalty. People suck, but you gotta have thick skin in this game. If it happens, curse them and then move on to a party that isn't completely retarded.
