The RNG of DoT's isn't any less of an RNG as it was before though. Also, I don't know why your so peeved at bloodletter being linked with RoD, why would you want to use bloodletter in a AoE situation anyway? Pre 3.0 you never put DoTs on mobs in an AoE situation, so you never used bloodletter anyway (well you did but every 15seconds) so it makes absolutely zero difference.

EDIT: Pre 3.0 Wide Volley was a 15% chance to proc RoD. This means on average every 6 Wide Volley you get a RoD for free... on average. 6 x 2.5 Seconds is 15 seconds. Which is the cooldown on Bloodletter/RoD. So if your DoTs reset RoD just once within 6 Quick Knocks (Because you should be using quick knock now) you gain dps.

Yup, this is about right. The argument for using Bloodletter in an AoE situation makes absolutely no sense. Of COURSE you're going to want to prioritize RoD over Bloodletter when you're hitting 3 or more targets. Why wouldn't you? It's waaaay more potency in a single attack.

It's so effective, in fact, that I've regularly been seeing BRDs out-dps my MCH in AoE situations despite everything MCH has going for it (AoE turret with 0 TP or MP cost, reload adding additional potency to AoE attacks, Rapid Fire allowing for MASSIVE Flare-style AoE burst). This is absolutely not something worth complaining about. If anything, you should be glad it exists. Free AoE procs! Huge damage potential for 0 TP cost!

The only questionable thing is why Wide Volley still exists when Quick Nock is better. I don't think they thought that one through properly.

what would work is if they bind those 2 skills together with a prog chance then both would have a good value

This. There's literally no meaning in using 2.x rotation on 2+ targets anymore.

It's only useful when running into range for using QN (assuming you already put up the SS and dots whilst the tank was gathering up mobs), but yeah, some additional effect for it would be nice. It's so lonely now.

I just love the new free RoDs, even if I hate pretty much everything 3.0 did to bards. That was a change that made the class feel fresh and more fluid and fun to play, but all that rubbish we gained after level 50... {No thanks}

well sidewinder is at least one good thing we got but it alone cant compensate the rest.

I'd rather take WM with 10% buff instead of 20% and not lose mobility than be a turret.
