I think you missed my point.

You brought up that when looking at min/maxing, a DRK brings nothing. Thats my point. DRK may not be bad, but its not as good as WAR or PLD. It would always be preferable to bring a WAR or PLD over a DRK.

And you missed my point. The bolded section in your quote is not true. It is not always preferable to bring a WAR or PLD. A good DRK player can perform the tank job just as well as a WAR or PLD. They have the mitigation necessary to succeed at tanking any content, they just need to be careful of their timing.

It's only preferable to bring WAR or PLD if you aren't confident in your tank player's ability to play DRK... I.E. you want the safer route "just in case".
