Mmhmm. Personally, I think it just fits best out of all the avatars, unless they introduce new ones specific to FFXIV. Which doesn't really seem like something they would do.

Carbuncle or Odin could possibly fit, but I doubt it. Odin wouldn't make any sense at all since the Garleans are trying to prevent the destruction of the world presumably.

Shiva is most likely the summon for the Gigas (Who have been alluded to in-game to an extent), and Ramuh is probably the Sylph's since their flag has a lightning bolt on it. So I doubt the Garleans would be able to summon either of them.

Actually, in a r40 faction leve at Camp Nine Ivies, you have to find a diamond called "Shiva's Tear" a Qiqirn stole. So I think Shiva is Qiqirn's primal.

I think the next primal is gonna be Titan, since they already have his model. That way, the dev would have a lot less cost of development and would be quicker.

Qiqirn just like shiny objects. They'll steal anything shiny and valuable. They love money. Plus, the fact that it stole it and didn't already possess it seems to be proof enough that they probably don't really worship Shiva. After all, they don't really possess any hints of being from the north. In fact, they seem more at home in desert-ish areas, like FFXI. I personally think it would be safer to assume that a tribe worshiping Shiva would originate from an arctic area.

The Gigas were from the north in FFXI, and I think it's safe to assume that if they make a debut in FFXIV they'll have made their home in the Farreach once that zone is released.
