    Something to think on when it comes to new classes is they need to either be able to use the same item as its base class. In other words a Beast Master using a bow or a Samurai using an Axe in your example. Or they have to be entirely new classes to begin with (I am open for a new level 1 class) or go the route of the expansion and start as the job at lv 30.

    Yea that does cause a problem for Samurai in particular. It was mostly just an example though.

    Blue Mage, because they are just so cool gear/lore/mechanic wise, and its certainly possible to make them melee/caster which is a role currently not in-game. As for how the blue magic system should work there are many concepts out there, but honestly I do agree with Yoshi-P comment about people not accepting blue mages into parties because they are missing certain spells, so a idea I had is to make the spells learned automatically like the other jobs, but make the "traits" learnable from their hunting log.

    Job Level: 30
    Origin: Ala Mhigo
    Weapon: Rackets (Something different not commonly seen) (These are used by garnet in ff9)

    Actually I was toying with a similar list recently. Samurai wouldn't work for Marauder as samurai dont use axes. For rogue it will be either dancer or blue mage. If blue mage, pugilist gets dancer. Thaumaturge would most likely get puppet master.

    It could in a way, but I imagine all the job quests would revolve around studying a certain mob then being rewarded with its power or skill. Which either people would get upset over, or everyone else will be mad that Blue gets way to many options and skills due to freedom of finding mobs to learn from.

    I was hoping a time mage could be added in somehow. As maybe a healer class(reversing time to heal) or as a support dps(haste party, and slow enemies). That would be really cool.

    Yeah I was wondering about that too. It would also give the class an option to ride along a different story Path if so chosen. Think Dragon Nest. Except a prereq would be having already completed the MSQ. If you've never played DN Then I would also say The Prince of Persia II. Where you see this guy that you think is an enemy but It is actually you in the future interfering and altering the past.

    Anyway, all of the elitism is unwarranted. It isn't as if everyone here is PVPing to compete for openworld Raid bosses or anything like that. Heck, most of us don't even pvp.
