Darkside Aura .. hurts my eyes. Can't turn it off.

The Darkside aura is literally the only visual effect in this game i have ever actually called ugly.

FFXIV's aura effects are usually so pretty and wispy and fluid. The weapon glows look amazing. Darkside is just huge and looks very F2P MMOish, feels out of place in this game.

my thought exactly. the glow is just so out of place and whats worse is its all over the place in towns because nobody bothers to turn it off. you can spot it from a mile away even without trying to look for it at night in game.

Gods yes - please tone it down or give us the ability to not see it. It's obnoxious and jarring to the eyes in town - it looks so out of place.

The aura is bugged anyways most likely they are going to fix the animation and make it obey the the graphic options as it should be.

I alway turn it off when I am not using darkside because it hurts my eyes too x,x I actually suffering when I turn on darkside is like Yoshida said well if you going to turn to the darkside you going to have to suffer for power comes with a price...... Yours eyes

Lately I've had lots of friends run up to me and do some combination of new moves they've unlocked, at which point I have to say "I have effects for non-party members turned off.. you look like you're just waving your hands around on my screen. Sorry. :/".

Meanwhile, complete strangers can clog up my display with this red mess called "Darkside", regardless of my settings. Why?

lol thanks, it was commissioned by someone on my server whos first name is Lenti. they did really good work though id have to check back with him to get the rest of his info. its been a while.
