Uh. Maybe so that you can still mix it up a bit while leveling the other classes.

Funny that you throw additude at people suggesting ways for him to find leveling less of a grind. Just because you hate the idea (and I dont really think you do,just negative know-it-alling), doesn't mean he will. I didn't think the thread title was "What do random poeple, who arent the OP, think of suggestions for the op having grind burn out?"

Well, actually it is helpful to leave the sidequests for the second job, i'm at 55 and just did a few chain quests on each zones, and still have alot of 52/53 to do and i just finish the MSQ Somh Al

More options to level that aren't dungeons or FATEs which give very low xp for whatever reason in HW? That reset quests option that people have been continually suggesting would be incredibly nice now. Why exactly does leveling have to be this boring and long grind after you've done it once?

I am honestly sooooo glad that I lept off the Machinist boat at level 52.

I realized, fortunately, ahead of time, that the Machinist was doomed for complete and utter weakness. The class needs buffs EVERYWHERE. Damage, debuffs are pathetic, and their MP/TP from turret are WEAKER than the ones Bard provides LOL. Oh and it's harder to play because you need to stare at your hotbar for "RNG procs".

SO WHY PLAY MACHINIST? There are so many drawbacks and for what? Their debuffs which we were lead to believe they'd have? They don't have debuffs, the numbers are ignorable.

I am with you OP and I feel you, I know that feeling so well. I am so sorry no one warned you about it ahead of time, I am so glad I abandoned Machinist and now play classes that actually are viable/not in a horrifically weak state.

Hey, I played WAR from ARR launch all the way through till today. I stuck with it even when people were bitching about WAR and how broken it was (I had no troubles with it, not like what others were claiming) and eventually they "fixed" it. If you like the class, stick with it, they will end up patching it eventually. Shall I list the other jobs that have been tweaked? How about... ALL of them.

Since I'm buying my sub in 6 month chunks, I should get a free exp boost.

Back in 1.0 people put together fire parties. With no jobs just classes, people equipped fire which was an aoe ability then like fire II is now. One tank and 1 healer while the rest of everyone spammed AOEs on mobs and then repeated when they reappeared. Similar to FFXI exp parties.

Now in XIV we have so much more. Dungeons, hunts, Challenge log, leves, and whatever side quests you missed from your first 60. There's plenty to do.

    1) Do your Roulettes. Why? Because it's easy EXP, Seals (which you can use to buy Ventures and materials your FC will need for Airship crafting and other works) and lowbies need help too.
    2) Do your Hunts: Why? Because it's easy exp, easier still with flight (you DID get flight in all the zones, yes?) and you get Centro Seals which pay the way for some of your upgrades.
    3) Do Temple Leves: Why? Because the large scale ones are damn interesting to do with a small to full partry and you've probably not touched them anyways. And again, easy EXP.
    4) Do Challenges: Why? Because you're going to get bonus Exp from them while doing all of the above. Really? Is it that hard to wander around and do 1 Fate per zone you're going to end up in anyways?

In short, you have a lot to do that's just going to throw EXP your way, and a 50% Armory bonus from 50 to 60 that will help you on your way to doing it. Even if you did burn all your side-quests, there is still plenty to do.

I think some of you folks, on your first 60, had full rest bonus.

    I didn't.

In fact, I had to grind out the last 3/4 of a few levels because I ran out of quests, challenge logs, FATEs are crap, and not all hunts are doable first time around(level, location).

I started with 0 rest bonus. I came here 6 weeks ago. Bard to 50, and a bunch of others between 20 and 46 before HW started up for cross class skills. Then took AST to 60 first.

I got all day every day to sit here and level. Just really boring after the first job.
