    They bother me.

We don't need more buttons just for the sake of having more buttons. Especially when they can't be combined with each other.

And the last person that said "just get an MMO mouse" to me got a fat lip. I *can't* use them. Physically farking impossible.

You shouldn't need a milion hotkeys to play this game. Or any game. They added abilities just for the sake of adding them, and most of them kind of suck.

There isn't even close to too many abilities in FFXIV. If you can't handle it then remove some of them from your bars and only use the must-haves.

Probably the most complex thing I've played it bladedancer and stormcaller in Rift, and that is some freaking difficult stuff that included a lot of buttons in just the basic rotations.

Also, there are difficult and more simpler jobs in this game. If something is too hard for you, then reroll. There is something called musicle memory, so if you constantly look at your keyboard or bars then you need to change your habits.
I have played it, and the ability prune wasn't the problem, the expansion was just boring and dull in general.

Having new buttons to hit just for the sake of having buttons to hit is not a good design.

I'm enjoying my class because it has a lot going on. To me it makes the game more engaging.
I spend an awful amount of time staring at HP bars and my hotbars and my buff timers and very little time actually watching the fight. Not sure how you find that "fun".

I main heals in a static raid group and I spend the whole time watching the fight, HP bars, buffs, where everyone is, etc. I'm very good at multitasking. For me the more going on the better. Of course everyone has their own personal tastes.

I've been healing a hell of a lot longer than you have, I can guarantee it.

Unnecessary complexity is *not* a good thing.

That's a sign that you aren't comfortable with the class yet and need to practice more, not an indicator of having too much going on. I'm the same way with ARC because I just started leveling it and haven't gotten used to playing it yet, and so far I only have one hotbar worth of skills available to me. Same with PGL, and I have even fewer skills there at this point.

Meanwhile, I can do the DRG rotation in my sleep because it's pure muscle memory to me by now.
It's this way with *every* class that has buffs that need to be kept up. Especially things that are capable of having a 100% uptime. This isn't "comfort" issues, this is "there's entirely too much shit going on" and some of the spell effects on boss abilities sure aren't helping.

Again, you're arguing to have abilities just for the sake of abilities.

I don't use half of my spells on a regular basis. Too situational. Instead, they sit and waste space.

AST doesn't have too many buttons yet, but I sure as hell have too many situational abilities that are borderline useless. And watching the draw timer is relatively boring.

wat? xD Do you think that makes your opinion more valid...? If I misunderstood this comment then I'm sorry. Lemme know. It's a bit confusing. But just because you played a role for a long time doesn't make all your opinions about it more valid or mean that you're good at it(some people don't improve; some have physical limitations). Don't get me wrong, you might be amazing at healing. I don't know you.

Anyway. In my last post, I just explained why I enjoy having more to do, since you didn't understand why.

Just to be clear, I don't enjoy useless or basically useless skills. Does anyone? I don't think people are arguing for unnecessary complexity either. I'm not. But I do welcome new, useful, skills that make a class more interesting to play.

Yes. All my keys are eventually committed to muscle memory.
