    To be honest, hunts have always been poorly implemented. We're talking about a boss which has very little HP being wailed on by an army of players. This happens every time, and even if you're lucky enough to show up you're likely to get next to nothing as a reward. Whether it's down to casting times, thus you were only able to hit the mob twice, or the sheer volume of people doing much higher damage than you.

    By all means keep the hunts there for the hunters, but for the rest of us I would like to see an alternative method to obtain the upgrade items at the very least. Hunts are not fun for me. You basically NEED a hunt linkshell to even stand a remote chance of finding them, and then you NEED a party to actually fight them. Its not something you can just casually enter into, and dedicating hours to doing nothing just waiting for the bloody things to spawn is an exercise in patience I'd rather not have.

    I disagree. The players bring this on themselves. If played as intended - without the zerg army - they work great.a light party can tackle an A, though a full party has an easy time. A full party cantackle an S although an alliance of two parties has an easier time. If you alter hunts to reflect the sheeplike behaviorof players, you break the original functionality in favor of the zerg army.

    I think you just need to actually do something to the mob. That said.. I try casting Thunder(fastest spell)...anything else, mob is probably dead before I finish casting.

    The zerg happens because you have lots of players all after the same thing on a monster which only spawns every so often. If these things showed up every ten minutes there wouldn't need to be the huge zerg, but because people might miss out otherwise, it's only natural to draw a crowd.

    Feel free to cast Thunder on a mob. I'm main white mage, so I don't actually have that option. The best I can do is throw up Aero, since it's an instant cast spell, and spam heals on a party to try and get some kind of contribution. Even then it doesn't always count.

    Benediction on whoever pulls it works wonders. It will almost certainly get you aggro though, so beware. :3

    One thing I've learned as a healer, never cast heals until after you hit the hunt mob. For some reason heals alone don't count, you have to do both or it's as good as wasting your MP.

    Told on myself? I stopped hunting about 6 months after its release and hasnt touched it ever since.

    Killing A and C ranks isnt the only way to get seals, you got the weekly B rank aswell as the daily quest, alittle slower yes but theres still about 2 weeks before they add content where i170+ is needed.

    And i still stand by the fact that there is no such thing as early pulling, if people did hunts the way it was originally intended then these A ranks would be downed by the 8 man parties that originally found them.

    Cause even if SE increases their hp (like they did last time) the moment the horde arrives it will still become attacked, only difference is a few more players will be able to reach it before it dies but theres still going to be a few players that dosnt reach it in time only to spill their toxic waste how people are (insert foul words here) for not waiting.
