Where to quest in the 40s

So I'm slowly working my way up to 50 and I keep getting stuck behind level restrictions on the main story quest.

Ever since about level 38, I've found that just doing the main story won't give me enough XP to get to the next level and I've had to grind out FATEs and levequests to bump myself up to the next level. There aren't really any sidequests left in all the towns I go to.

While I do like FATEs, I don't really like the idea of grinding them out.

I'm currently level 44 and I was wondering if there were any questing hubs that I'm missing, and if not. Where should I go for levequests appropriate to my level and up to level 50 (where I could no doubt continue the main story without being blocked by the low level wall)

Any help would be appreciated.

North Thanalan, near Camp Bluefog, if i recall.

Mor Dhona might have some side quests you can start doing at your level.

There are also some quests at the Waking Sands in the high 40s, if I recall correctly.

Have you been following the main storyline? Often new quests are unlocked in a certain area upon completing certain story quests there. The story itself gives exp after all so you should be keeping up to date with your story quests (check your Journal for where your last story quest was completed if you can no longer remember where you are, as that will be where the next one in the storyline is stated).

Thanks, I've just found a quest chain from Urianger (sp?). Wasn't showing up on my map for available quests.

Yeah, I'm following the main storyline but each level it only seems to be giving me half a level at best and I'm finding I have to do levequests and beastman dailies to get over to the next stage.
I've just been to castrum centri and the next main storyline says level 49 requirement. and I'm 3/4 through 46 /frustrated
