Waitaminute... by your own logic, then, we SHOULD have child characters in this game, so that paedophiles are given a harmless outlet for their psychological issues and will be less likely to resort to less savory outlets. Which side of the discussion are you on, anyway? XD

Mind you, I'm not invested one way or the other about adding child player characters to the game, but neither do I think that doing so would plunge the game into a dark age of pedo ERP. It's as silly as imagining that allowing male characters more cross-dressing options would turn the world into a drag festival.

thats not what they are saying, as the majority of people who do act on such feelings have already committed to doing said act, with or without help. the argument stems from trying to stop something before it can happen, similar to people who say to ban guns because others kill people with guns.
