Having issues with socializing with people

I feel you! I am awkward by nature and have a little trouble knowing how to interact with people. I often feel like I am in the way rather than being helpful.

Just keep trying. My first FC experience went to hell, but I was taken in by a nice group. Look for smaller groups rather than big ones. IMO big groups often have the trouble of just inviting but having no quality of interaction. Try not to be afraid of stepping up and showing them you are someone that wants to be a part of the group.

I would suggest joining a smaller FC, maybe one of your closer friends is in a small FC, ask them if you can join.

My fc has like 4 players online tops but thats very rare. We are a small group of 6 from all over the world, america, australia and some from europe and they are making the game so much fun.

IF your on a low population server and youve already been searching for an FC that fits you, there is no way you will find a FC there. Move to a more populated server. Expand your Fishing Pool (i like to fish ;D ). Small pond small Diversity. Large pool more Diversity of People. So in a large pool the chances of you finding people who are like you increase dramatically. If your not happy in your current environment change something. The definition of Insanity: "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results"

What helped me is my ethnic background, i am Hawaiian and so i looked for an FC that was..well basically filled with islanders like me, Because of our mutual backgrounds we had loads to talk about not just in game but also about our Real Life communities. Because a majority of them live near each other they even have Barbeque parties >.< im sad cause i live far and cant go. See if there are any FC's that have a point of familiarity to you.

I find it tough to put myself out there and interact with others sometimes, but I find that I have an easier time and have more fun if I stay more in character. I like to emote and reference lore, and once I've gotten myself comfortable playing a fun, silly character, I can ease up and let a bit more of my RL self come through. While I found a few friends that I had fun playing with, it took nearly a year to find a group that I was comfortable enough in to use voice chat with, but now we joke and laugh, and have a rambunctious fun time all around. Don't give up on soul searching, you'll find a group that works for you. Like others suggested, server transfers are an option too if you feel you've exhausted your resources on your home turf.

now my problem is that i am kind of a solo player while i want other people to play with aswell.

well i dont have a FC i have switch between 5 FC's and i always felt like i was on the background of everything.

I'm in the same boat as you.

Its hard to know when to be social some times its still hard weather in game or irl never know when to just stop talking and just walk away or to even start a conversation its hard to find that 1 group that's just perfect for you but it's out there trust me.

Sometimes the real you doesn't get noticed till you feel comfortable enough to be social with people. The real problem is people won't see your a nice person because they won't take the time to see who you really are which sucks.

I was like that before I met my ingame wife, but she stopped playing a week ago, so it's back to just me now, for however long. Last thing I remember her telling me though in regards to making friends is "you don't tend to come out of that tiny shell, you just need to be approached".

Don't feel pressured to join a FC or LS. There is nothing wrong with staying out of it. It's not anti-social to not talk to people, rather it's only a problem if you are actively driving people away (which happens in guild/FC/LS type arrangements when someone thinks it's their own personal army.)

I know what you mean end i cant really find a LS beside the hunting once and the FC here are so dul and unorganized and poorly managed also i always feel like a complete stranger even if i have been in the FC for a long period of time.
