Workshop with a small FC

Group crafting has been promised since 2010 (I wonder if they'll ever add the promised cake to the list of things you can make down there XD) but considering that they decided to take the FC route with it, the requirements are incredibly flexible. You can essentially solo the entire thing, crafting and handing in all of the items yourself if you want to (and have the required levels), and then just ask 3 friends/colleagues/strangers off the street of any level 1+ crafting class to join you for 10 seconds per stage to progress it.

When I heard it was FC based crafting requiring a party, I assumed it was level 50+ and required all members of the group to be from the FC.

I think this is a great compromise, although I do wish it was more interactive, using skills and things with other people and stuff like that.

I agree, I kinda figured it be like crafting, give each member X amount of time per step for them to discuss how or what step to do, basically to increase the Quality/Progress just on a larger scale.

I kinda have to agree with this. I'm from a small FC myself, but I think it's silly for us to complain about the group crafting requirements when only the party leader needs to be in the FC. You can get help.

I apologize in advance if the math is screwed up, but:

Each housing district has 8 wards with 60 plots. That's 480 plots in each district, 1440 per server. That means for every server there's only 1440 total houses that can be purchased, and that's for personal and FC combined. Out of the tens of thousands of players that are on your server. That means if you're able to use the crafting station at all, then your FC is one of the lucky 1440 whereas hundreds of others with at least 6+ people are completely locked out of the content.

Turn it into a service or something. Offer to help other FCs still saving for a house to get a jump on crafting airship parts by having them help you. Or offer to take volunteers with you on airship explorations if non FC members help with gathering materials/joining the craft party.
