O_o that works? Where did you post this magical trickery? Friends either play already or are not interested (pre-friend campaign), so unless I want to make fake friends @_@ this sounds the best of the least viable options lol.

Ofc, how lucky you are may differ and might take some time. Remember that you can send yourself an invite code once each 3 hours. Then you just post that code on the New Player forum (use one of the bigger threads as they are the more "official" ones). I tend to spice my posts up a bit with pictures and info on what they will get by registrating with that code (not too much so they get bored), may catch more eyes that way. Also check back once in a while as your post will get burried, then if that code was not taken (you will get an Email telling you that someone has used your code), delete that post and repost it so you are back at the "top". That's how I did atleast.

Edit: Also remember that this is no way a sure success. I might've just been lucky. But it's worth a shot and you got nothing to lose.

The very thing to burry raid related mount behind some friend recruitment is so illogical that if you had any doubt that SE is there for beautifuly worded cash grab, now its perfectly clear. I can live that i cant get because i didnt do Coils beyond T6, but friend recruitment and twintania is so unrelated that ADS mount in pvp achievment seams like perfectly justified.

I'm STILL waiting for someone to grab one of my Friend Codes and having to BUY the full game first to try it... I mean you get 30 days FREE first before you decided to want the game or not.

This Friend Recruitment doesn't make sense really, you get the code but in order to download the game you need to buy it first. If you're inviting a friend to play you're basically asking them to do a trial run of the game to see whether they want to buy the game or not to play. Having to buy it FIRST and then USE the code after to play it is kinda of... backwards. :<

I mean it's like you get an extra 30 days first? But what if they don't like it? They wasted $20 - 60 for a game they don't like and most likely never play. They could use that extra money for gas money or something else.

I don't see a lot of people doing, sure there's a few, but this seems poorly planned to me.

I get 3 copies of ARR, I pay 3 months of subscription, I go through all the hassle of that plus the money, and I end up not receiving nothing and I cut my veins, so I'm definitely not giving this a try for my health's sake.

its most certainly not against the TOS to own and use mroe than one account. I have 3 (I multibox) and used the recruit a friend for both. Nothing against the TOS

It's sharing the account with someone other than yourself that is against the TOS

You could always just post here http://www.reddit.com/r/ffxivraf someone there used one of my codes and shortly after I was able to recruit 4 more people (RL friends I talked into playing) a few months before HW.

Yeah i was extremely disappointed myself when i saw twintania locked behind recruit a friend...like really?. Not everybody enjoys MMO's D:. Most of my friends go out clubbing or play brony games like killer instinct, street fighter and cod.

They have to FIRST buy the game (base for $20 and $40 for HW) and then use the Recruit Friend code to use it, but if they use the Activation Code from the base game they bought it locks them out of using the Friend Code you sent them. So really... there's no point to it if they don't like FFXIV. They wasted $20 - 60 for nothing.

I don't know if they can get a refund for it, but I see this as poorly thought out.

you dont need to buy HW, only at least ARR since its back dated too
