I like most of the new gear's aesthetics, so I don't really mind.
Even the reuse of old models is fine, since the armors dye really well.![]()

I was pretty much expecting it to be about the range it is. I see nothing wrong with it since, regardless of WHEN exactly it would happen, by the time we hit 60 we would start replacing all the gear we've spent months or more getting.
Now relics of course will be a different issue, but 3.1 will tell wether they were worth it for some.
I did notice when I dyed some of the 56 monk gear that it's now dynamic with off colors rather than the situation we had with augmented ironworks gear
parts of the armor will change colors to match a bit better: Armor was a mix of green and yellow, apply snow white dye, armor is now black white grey.
What is there to be upset about? Are you saying that you wish it lasted longer? Or that it should have been replaced sooner? If you had i130 gear (i135 weapon) before expansion, you have a significant head start to work with. This was intentional and by design. If you remember, discussion a week or two ago involved "letting gear you worked so hard to achieve go to waste by being replaced by Level 51 cracked leather armor".
Personally I think they achieved a pretty good balance of building your gear up as you progress through the new content. Just look at the shop in Ishgard. Is the NPC gear cool, and strong, and useful for your alts? Yes!! Is it better than Ironworks or Dreadwyrm gear? No!! It's not even better than CT3 gear that some people have needlessly grinded their life away on. I think it's great that you can squeeze 4 more levels of life out of them.
Just glamour up and pretend your Ironworks gear is better than it really is. I'm kind of attached to the look so I may do it at some point, though there's a ton of new gear that also works just as well (looks wise).

But it's not always about the stats. If it winded up in a dungeon, it would have to be in a pre Heavensward dungeon, meaning a level 50 dungeon. Meaning it will still act as a bridge anyway, and be possibly even easier to obtain than before.
The gear remaining as is isn't even about acting as a bridge, hell you find i120 in your FIRST Heavensward dungeon anyway. If someone wants to grind out a full Ironworks set, including the items to upgrade them, instead of simply grinding to the level that puts you on a comparable ilvl, then let them? It's a hell of a lot more tedius, and more work than hitting the quests and newer dungeons and actually doing stuff that is meaningful.
If they did anything to it, they'd only be able to change the method to obtain it WITHIN ARR content, and would probably just get rid of Poetic tomes all together. However I cant see them doing this, because Ironworks acts as yet another reason for those at 60 to do level 50 dungeons if they wish to obtain the set for glamor. And then there are those who do not have Heavensward.
It's an EXPANSION guys, not just some content patch.

I expected this but I am still a bit shocked that there is already ilvl 190. The jump is too high. See you on ilvl 500 in 2 years.![]()
Don't worry, you will get to do another long, tedious, annoying grind to get another awesome weapon that will be replaced somewhere around level 65 in the following expansion.
