In 06? You sure? The only time I ever tried to out DPS people with Rampage is when I finally completed Guttler lol...tho maybe that's when I completed it...was so long ago D;
Lol, yeah, I remember you had just finished Guttler. It might've been 07, but doubt it was any later.. we were in NotED and still actively hunting the weaker HNMs while doing Sky. :P

OP: I disagree with your thread. Actually I agree with everything EXCEPT making it easier to get drops. This is what separates the raid from feeling wowish. Shudder... I hate even saying that, but it's true. Wow = everybody has same gear. boring. I think it should be ridiculously hard to get, have variety, and not require 25 man parties like wow does. 8 is fine with me. or even 4. Hell, even DUOing a dungeon for tough items would be fun, to me. But making it nearly impossible to get, hey thats where the fun is at!

well at least for me having a hard mode dungeon and a very hard almost impossible dungeon would let us have the best of both worlds, people could get good gear from easier modes and get the best gear possible in the hard mode dungeon, so if you want to have the best gear in game you have to work for it, you can make a few trial runs in the easy mode to get know the dungeon, and do the hard one as long term end goal. i like having challenge in this kind of games, makes me feel that i acomplished something.
This way we wont have dumb down dungeons challenge and of course a dungeon mode where we can go to grind for exp and get another fun way to level up our classes, but im not saying that one should be for r30's it should be for r40's or even 35's because after that point it gets pretty slow the exp farm.
The easier mode (not too easy of course, maybe the same difficulty we have now in Darkhold) could be timeless, so you can take your time to kill everything you can, it could even be a different route and leave the very hard mode with timers and all the challenges we have and more puzzles.
As you can see there are a lot of good things from other games that could be applied in this one, but with FF style, and please SE dont make us farm seals or badges in dungeons i hated that from WoW.
Having to select "modes" for dungeons takes away a lot of immersion for me. I can see it now... *Huge UI pops up stating the name of the dungeon, a picture, and a checkbox for easy/hard mode* ... <--- F**K that! I want it to feel like I walked into a cave if the dungeon is in a cave. If it's in a forest, then I want to feel like I wandered too far out into the forest, and deep within I have become trapped in a settlement of monsters, a dungeon, and now have to EPIC-ly fight my way out. And also, having rare mobs or NM's would also be a good add to dungeons. like say a 1% chance of having X_Monster spawn, said monster would drop cool loot, and when it dies you get a buff. Etc etc..
Just make this game immersive, SE. That's what we all want. The true MMO fanatics. (I guess anyway, but I know I do!) I don't want a screen full of bars and windows, or menus and pictures. I want the game world in my face, I wanna explore, I want challenges, I want dialogue and voice overs all the time, I want epic quests that take me around the world to places I never knew existed.
