    This forum will defend anything. If it's 5 in the morning and you wanna see how your airship is coming and if you need to add more stuff, you shouldn't have to group. That's stupid and says to me it's probably there because of how instances are done in this game.

    I thought I would pop back again now that I've actually crafted an airship rather than just reading about it. Having had first hand experience, I can definatly see why the restriction was put in place because trying to craft a ship solo would be soul destroying.

    It took me and two other crafters a whole evening to create our FC airship. This may not seem like much, but this is the most basic version of the ship where about a quarter of the mats could be bought from beast tribe vendors and npcs. We also spent around two million on timed gathering materials such as Darksteel nuggets.

    That is just one airship down with three more to go and the material, time and effort required just getting harder from here on out. Yes you could craft an airship solo but I am sure it will end up as difficult as doing the whole relic line. Hell, I'm even going to be helping a small FC I have friends in complete their airship after how hard it was to do ours.

    My soul is my business and if I want to destroy it crafting an airship in my own FC I should be able to do so. As many others have posted, most of the airships are being done by single crafters with an AFK party anyway, just to get around this BS restriction.

    From the experience of someone who did basically craft an entire airship on his own: its not that bad.
    Keep in mind that airships arent really ment to be build in a day either.


    I think the most soul destroying part was having to click turn in items for 15 minutes straight.

    Large airships are supposedly extremely complicated machines. In the Beast Tribe quests, it took the Ixal and their Lafafell engineer, alongside you, weeks to build just ONE.

    Okay, I have a few questions, as I'm having issues.
    1) Where do you select to register multiple airships? I can't find it on the Flight Control Panel. I can dismantle our one airship, but I can't find how to construct our additional three. Do we have to rank it up high enough first? Do I need more than the 3 flight credits I have on hand? Do I need to research a particular thing first?
    2) How do you repair airship components. Dark Matter Clusters maybe?

    It's bad practice though for them to try to cobble and Band-Aid the housing ward system (especially the personal and FC sharing space problem) though. This isn't even going to solve the problem. All that's going to happen is that it's going to delay my FC getting airship ventures started for a week, tops. And only that long because I really don't feel like doing the crafting blitz right this second. Rather be leveling.

    They should try to get instanced housing to work later in 3.0 (personal airship-house! Floating in the sea of clouds! Make sure it has a gardening plot and stable on board. IT WOULD ROCK!) and then offer an incentive for personal house holders to relinquish their housing plots to jump to it. Free up the ward housing for FCs to take those spaces.

    SE's design choices have FORCED most people into small FC situations. For 9 months Housing was ONLY available to an FC. A teleport to your personal FC chest / Summoning bell, personal house decorating, gardening, non-crowded Market Boards, privacy for couples / friends to do silly things together; there were plenty of reasons for people to want their own homes. I myself had turned my first home into a solo Crafting Store (including roleplay.) Free Crafting and Melding to my linkshell of 200 (but they had to show up at the shop =D.)




    Being in a large FC was pointless if you wanted to experience any of this housing content. Joining an FC in which you can't move furniture, garden, edit ranks, crests, activate the FC buff of your choice, or even access the FC chest? Housing isn't any fun if you can't play with anything.

    Anyone that wanted to have a home to truly call their own were forced to make a small FC, rank it up to 6, and buy a solo plot (or with a few close players or static members who eventually leave or quit overtime.) Therefore, FC content should not be gated behind a system that requires four-player simultaneous log-ins. It was poor design from the beginning that led to this situation. Even with an FC of 20 members it can be troublesome having four players logged in at the same time of day and not /busy with dungeons or afk every single time you need some Workshop crafting.

    TL;DR - The Gate needs to be removed. Poor housing design forced us to make small FC's to enjoy housing content.

    After reading completely the 3.2 notes, they didn't notice about removing the Light or Full Party requirements for Workshop crafting phases?

    Aw come on... Why not just remove the progress phase requirements and let us craft alone in workshop.

    It's irritating to bother everytime asking them to come to workshop and craft a single thing, its not necessarily to get a party.
