    Astrologian spread question

Hey guys I am about to ask a completely stupid thing, so bear with me, I'm on my fourth coffee of the morning and it's still not sinking in.

This skill simply states to put a drawn card away for later, sounds great. Only in combat, fine with me. Yet when I draw a card in combat it doesn't always give me the option to keep it for later and I can't quite figure out why that is. Is it because I always make sure to have a royal road buff up, and so the next card drawn is saved solely for that and not spread?

If anyone could help me out with solving this mystery in my head I'll be a big fan. Have a good one guys! ♥

It must be used before you exit combat. And it cannot be used before combat. It's very useful to control which buff you want to enhance and also allows you to use the less desire buffs.

So basically use the draw during combat if you get a card like balance or arrow use spread to save the effect for a boss emergencies etc.

Hey Brightshadow. When I'm in a fight and draw a card, the spread option does not become available. And that's during a boss fight etc. I've only ever see it light up and be available for a balance card once or twice, so I'm not sure as to what's stopping me from using it during combat.

I don't have anything I can take a video with to be honest. I think it might be that I draw a card, use it for royal road, draw another card and then can't use spread so it may be related to that so I'll have a look when I get home from work tonight and see what the haps is.

Are you absolutely positive you're considered as "in combat"?

It almost sounds like you are in combat while level synched below level 40. I have never experienced it not being available, except at times when it makes sense like outside of combat, level synched below 40, or while its on cooldown.

Pretty sure I'm in combat, not level synched at the moment as it's during northern thanalan fates. now it may be that it's not counting me as in combat there and then, so I'll definitely do some digging.

tl dr: I'm doing something dumb and not realizing it

If your doing fates and you haven't attacked anything your not in combat. You have to actually attack stuff in fates to be considered in combat.

I've noticed that you actually have to cast a spell on someone in combat or attack a mob before it shows up. If you don't see a mob on the aggro list, you're not in combat.

I have also noticed that it counts you as out of combat the very instant the last mob dies. Overall, the skill feels kind of clunky.
