That would do it. Hopefully it doesn't include instances either because I don't have time to be attacking things and healing just to get spread to work. I'll update this when I get home to see if it counts healing as being in combat, and if not I'll cry into my umpteenth coffee.

You can just heal the tank once with Aspected Benefic. As long there's a mob in the enemy list, you're considered "in combat"

Ay like a few others have said, you just need to force the entered combat state (somewhat annoyingly). I tend to pop an Aspected Benefic or Combust and then resume drawing/spreading etc

Hi guys, sorry for the delay in getting back. Everyone was correct with it being a combat thing. Apparently it wasn't recognising some of my healing spells on others during fates as being in combat, so if I threw out a dot of such it would then start letting me use spread. I did do more instances, as I love instances it just so happened I didn't feel up to DD or Aurum Nope, and it works fine there.

Thank you all for helping out with this one. I was definitely doing it wrong, but at least I can now start stashing cards down my top for later. ♥

You need an enemy on thbe enemy list ib order to use spread. Cast a heal or place a DoT on an enemy after the tank pulls and you can use it.
