The reason I never seriously played XIV until 1.18 was the lack of grouping on my server. It was reserved for those that were in the douchy shells who thought we'd have end-game b4 Christmas so I stopped playing and just watching forums and lodestone from Nov - June.

On-Topic: This game isn't FFXI-2 but it does need to take a heavier influence from that game and then trickle down the ladder and pick off some good stuff from FFs prior to XI.
