1. Ventures
Having more active Ventures means more income, more materials, and more items. (Possibly rare ones in fact)

2. Market Board presence
More active items sold (20 is the maximum per retainer, 2 retainers allowed for free curently) Allows more market board control.

3. Inventory
Something you normally ONLY see in Free2Play MMOs is the ability to buy more bag slots or inventory with real money. But now that Square is double dipping even further, we get the best of both worlds.
Instead of fixing the root problem of inventory, Square has obviously seen a demand for more Inventory, and instead of solving the inherent issue, they've decided to nickle&dime us even further if possible.

Having more of any of those is having more power in the game world.

Speaking against any foul practice should be the right of any consumer. As it is mine also.
