If SE were to add Time Mage, give your input or ideas as to how it could work?

Quite a few of the AST spells are very clearly Time Mage spells. AST is basically a mix of Corsair from FFXI with a Time Mage.

I think what they're saying, and I agree, is that parts from Time Mage were cannibalized to make Astrologian so its unlikely Time Mage will appear in FFXIV. Namely they're both closely related to heavenly bodies and they share control of space/time (Some of AST's abilities include Time Dilation, Gravity, and Lightspeed).

But its still fun to think about how classes could be implemented even if we know they probably won't be.

ast has gravity spell, cards that increase attack speed, reduce cooldown of skills, etc.
slows/many debuffs dont work on bosses, so time mage would be pointless job to have.
so they added some time spells to ast.

Astologian also get a skill that stop time for a short time.
