Formal Letter to SE about RMT situation.

Not so sure that is quid pro quo. Until RMT significantly impacts SE financially it will continue to exist. it appears they will only try something new to fix it if subscribers quit en masse.

And the beauty of it is, rmt will never impact se, since this is a pay2play game with no pay2win elements ( personally i feel ppl paying others to clear fcob for them destroy the game for themselves. )

Not a fan of selling runs, I would never buy or sell one(I am against sellingruns). Not sure enough selling is happening to impact RMT at all. Apparently, if enough credit cards are stolen by the RMT sites and those credit cards are used for subscriptions and game purchases, charge backs can hurt...Not holding my breath though. I have given up hope since the problem has been around so long, gotten worse, no communication and nothing new. Is what it is.

I was curious about the same thing a while back, so I asked an FC on my server that is known for selling clears. I believe the rate they quoted was something like 2m for T9 and 20m for T13. I was like "Holy crap, do people actually pay that much?!" and the guy responded by saying they get people paying that much all of the time. I've got way more gil than most people, but still haven't cleared T9- and it will stay that way forever if paying for a carry is the only way I can. -.-

Every 5 minutes without fail I am getting hit by friend requests AND whispers from them. I can't even ignore the friend requests because they are persistent on my screen without a bunch of clicks.

It is frustrating and infurating to say the least.

And no, before some elitist jerk comes in and says "turn off friend and tells durrrrr hurrrr stupid Sovereign" I am sure as hell not going to do that and block the ability for me to communicate and work with friends and future friends.

I seriously wonder how much money RMT spends even daily keeping this up. I literally am not exaggerating with the 5 minute point. Maybe sometimes I get a 10 minute break but it is relentless.

I wonder then what is done differently on Balmung? I have like 3 people in my Blacklist and that was in the last two months. I get maybe one tell a month, no invites, cant remember the last time I saw spam in chat. I know other servers are awful but Balmung is fine. Could they be testing methods on some servers, seeing how it works on RMT and how the players are effected before mass implementation? Is it the sole result of restricted character creation? If its just the restriction that is limiting the RMT on Balmung, then maybe they should restrict all servers to be random times it is unlocked. Makes for quite the pain in the butt (I remember threads complaining about the restrictions.)

Would people here be willing to endure character restrictions if it was what helped Balmung?

Hmm trial accounts can no longer send friends request for HW. I didn't even know they could in the first place. I wonder if this will change anything for the people annoyed by friends requests. They will probably still do this with non-trial accounts lol.

Trial accounts can't use tells either.

RMT doesn't use trial accounts.
