Personally I dislike macros of that sort, but I don't think its that a big deal or warrants kicking someone unless its OBVIOUSLY obnoxious or overdone.

Key part is where you did not respond the first time he asked you something about it. He most likely felt ingnored and thought you could not care less.
Maybe a bit harsh, but I would have voted yes too. I don't understand why people feel the need to RP wherever they go.
I am conflicted about this though I don't RP personally there are times where macros can be amusing or annoying so I can definitely see both sides here. That being said in a 4 man dungeon I don't see why people are so worried that they are going to miss something important in chat. I mean c'mon its a 4 man whats so important that really needs to be said that macros will disrupt. Rarely are you ever in a group with lets say double NINs where you would really need to watch that gets thrown out there like trick attack so you don't have 2 people doing the move at the same time. If 4 people and someone died I can see you I don't really need to look out for some macro telling me your raising I got eyes I can see hes/she are dead. For raids and alliance chats though I can certainly see peoples point about spamming unnecessary macros since the more people in the group the more margin for error and more going on from all classes which some information definitely makes sense to show in the log.
If I were you I would do it in /say. If they dont like it they can mute the /say channel. They dont need a say channel in a raid setting. Party chat should be used to communicate directions for the battle etc. But /say is free ranged
I dont rp but usually play on rp oriented servers because i like the community better but i am pretty sure there's more to this than one macro on an ability with a long cd.
The bards and their blunt arrow Marcos and when it's not even hitting a mob that's worth silenceing.
so annoying to have to see and hear it ever time its up for them to use.

For one, we are only getting one side of the story here.
Secondly, that was a wasted report. It's perfectly acceptable to kick someone who annoys the group and refuses to stop. I don't vote for kicks unless you aren't actually playing. I would be annoyed by your macros though. You aren't the only one playing when you join groups...
As for the conversation where someone claimed that they are good because they are always the last alive on wipes. That actually means you aren't good. Good healers and dps will have enough emnity to die right after the tank. Those who contribute the least will be targeted last. The only time that isn't true is if the entire group is good, then some people using aggro reduction skills may be targeted last.

Gomu gomu no assu kikkingu pistoru!
I don't blame them. you annoyed them and refused to turn it off.

You can always use /echo i belive thats here too. It shows w/e you want to say to you only.
I love the official forums, they tell you to use the search for thread about what you wanted to talk but when you use it they judge for necro a thread.
