Why are you using a Naruto Jutsu on a DRG lol.

Why are you using a Naruto Jutsu on a DRG lol.
I know a person or two that mix their chat logs with some battle text so they have watch over numbers and player moves. The keep chat text there for important calls and such. Having someone with on obnoxious flavor text all over the place really messes up their focus. Like, anything beyond just the Ability name and target will bother them.
I'm really not for them in XIV either. They were cute in XI as everything had a week long cooldown and battles were often boring enough that flavor text between people would bring some entertainment.
Different beast here though and it can get annoying and how're they to know you didn't have more text macros like that? It's certainly no justification towards kicking you, but maybe just avoid those things when in PUGs.
Hey OP, I have the perfect solution for you and no I don't mean that sarcastically. The issue is this: you want to RP your character which is perfectly fine and other people don't want to see your macros in chat, which is also fine.
So here is my suggestion, for whatever your quote or saying is, use the command /echo instead of /party or whatever you have it set to. /echo still causes your message to display, but only you can see it. I believe that is a fair compromise that satisfies all parties involved.

Pretty much this. I'm not sure, but I think if you set it to echo, only you get the message. Or does everyone need to see it? Or since you are into RP, let me put it this way, what if your RP conflicts with theirs and breaks their emersion. Remember you are also running with 3,7, or 23 other people. If you want to pull the "others should think about how I like to play card", you should also be considering how they like to play.

As much as it upset you, I don't think he'll get in trouble for it. Devs already said it's OKAY to kick someone for having a "playstyle" that doesn't fit the team.
Macro's like yours don't bother me. I simply ignore it after the first time.

I'm kind of curious what this macro said..
I second using the /echo command at the beginning of your macro instead of /p or /yell or whichever you use
{Dragonfire Dive} has a CD of 2 minutes. So in a thirty minute dungeon, you're using that 10-15 times. That's spam.
thanks for everyone's comments i think im going ot change it to echo to avoid any future conflicts
It says " burn all creation to ash. Dragonfire dive" btw
