The downtime for that 1.7 gig purchase might be low (at least comparatively), but we're still going to have to download the whole patch that takes the game from 38.22 to 55+ gigs. The downtime for downloading and installing that 17 gig patch will be longer than for the 1.7 gig purchase. If the expansion release is anything like they've done with major patch releases, it'll only be near the very end of the maintenance period that we can even begin the patch download. So it'll be 24 hours of maintenance followed by probably another 24 hours or more of downloading.
