Something I like to know about

Start by doing every dungeon once, you will get bonus soldiery when it's your first time, and everyone in your party will get the bonus too.
Keep doing main quest, you need it to unlock snowcloak which is the last dungeon to unlock hard mode roulette.

You will also unlock a lot of trials which will give you bonus soldiery too.

Currently doing this on my third character, but I'm trying to gear up through dungeon gear only since I kinda hate the token system

So you know, the highest ilv a main quest requires is 90.

At item level 55, I believe you can go do Labyrinth of the Ancients? Drops ilvl 80 gear, and plenty of soldiery tomes to help you jump to soldiery gear pretty quickly. Get enough gear to bump yourself to average item level 70 and then sneak into Syrcus Tower and grab the ilvl 100 gear and yet more tomes. Should be at least 110 in no time with all that soldiery, then you can easily do World of Darkness and roll on item level 120 gear, plus start obtaining upgrade items for the 130 poetics gear.

That seems much easier to me than trying to go through 4-man dungeons or main scenario roulette.

Then start unlocking some of the dungeons that arent connected to the main quest

With ilvl 55 you can do these dungeons

Wanderer's palace
Halatali Hard
The lost city of amdapor
Haukke Manor Hard
Copperbell mines Hard
Pharos Sirius
