Unless you are hoping for Yoshi to be next to get fired after Tanaka? he has to try everything. Some changes you may like some not.

And it is true, how do i know if they will rake money after these changes? do you? nope. But unless they make changes no one would. It is lot better then doing nothing because in current condition FFXIV surely is not a profitable venture. Why do you think they are holding on charging you monthly fee because they love you so much?

I just think more practically and try to put myself in shoes of FFXIV devs and i can understand the reason behind these changes.
I never said I was against changes, but I can see you're above reading through the entire thread so I'll put it in as few words as possible.
They clearly did not, or refused to, write about (And not just Yoshida) their decision making when it came to this. Since it affects their players, I'd say this is a pretty severe lack of communication which they promised more of.
Giving the patch notes to a serious change like this days ahead of the patch is not what I call cooperative. It's kind of sneaky really.
Notice how quite a few people have offered changes they could have made, which are equally good.

You are accepting of any change whether or not it is good or bad just because it was made on behalf of the Dev team? Refusal to ask questions or accept a different opinion is rather disappointing of someone willing to stick with the game. What would it take for the devs to do, to ask about their decision making?

They are not Gods, they make mistakes, and this patch is just pure lazy BS.
