"It does not sound like Bayohne or SE themselves made a promise they were not willing to keep." The situation points to them knowing they would not be able to keep it.

I don't have other things that are more important to do during the Early Access because I planned to be free for the Early Access which was the point of said planning. Also for those who like running dungeons blind it is a problem because by the time we get on people will already have run the dungeons and spoil it for the ones who do not have full parties
I’m really sorry, but I couldn’t help but grinning to what you mentioned in your “Cause and Effect”.

“Cause something that was hyped and huge fanfare in France about a game knowing it wont be ready in time

I’m sorry, but there is a huge difference between a game not being ready in time and a game not being available on the Store of a certain region (due to localization) while other regions already have the opportunity to pre-order it. Does that mean that i’m saying that SE has not part in the blame? Absolutely not, but there is no indication what so ever that they game won’t be ready for the early access.

No, that’s not civil. Not by a long shot… Not even by “internet standards”. It’s showing a lack of (social) restraint regarding the people using foul language to make their complaints known.

The situation points to them knowing they would not be able to keep it.
That’s all about a matter of perspective. Did they know they would not be able to release the pre-order option on the EU PSN Store a few weeks ago? Did they know when it would be release until just now?

Up until now SE had yet to announce a date where the pre-order would be available on Steam and the PSN Store in all regions. I agree that the EU Community Rep could’ve phrased that post differently, seeing the requests and responses from the Forum users. However, technically the pre-order will still be available on the 19th and that the players will have access to the Pre-order bonus as well as the early access.

As it states right now, everyone will be downloading the client on the 19th, so you’re not “missing out on anything”. The official release of Heavensward is stated to be on the 23rd of June. Depending on the status of the game and the servers, keep in mind that due to unexpected circumstances, that particular release date is eligible for delays (read: emergency maintenance).

People tend to blow things out of proportion. Take a breather and wait… You will be able to pre-order the game and download the client for the early access.
