Relic come Heavensward

Alright, so, I have been trying to find this out forever but I can't find it. Here's my situation. The only relic I currently have is the Bard Nexus. I see lots of post saying that I continue with the zodiac to get Zeta then I get an advantage to those who don't have Zeta. But does this do anything for me if I try to main Dark Knight in Heavensward? Basically this: If I finish my Bard Zodiac, will it help me with my Dark Knight Relic weapon??

The simple answer is, we don't know.

It's likely just "If you finished A Zeta" then something happens. Especially since the new jobs won't have old relic weapons so it's unlikely to be BRD Zeta > BRD New Relic. But just Zeta in general > New Relic in general.

Maybe you can use the zeta weapon as a catalyst towards whatever new relic quest line in 3.1

That would be a nice 'head start' for whenever they introduce that phase of the next Relic SQ.

Would most likely mean though your Bard Zeta would only profit your next Bard relic, wouldn't be unilateral.

Just a thought. Nothing has been stated on it specifically.

I can't find the original post by devs but 100% there will be a + in the new relic for the current zeta owners. We still don't know however if its going to help in the first stage or in later stages.

Also, there is a rumour that maybe sometime in the future if you manage to get each relic to each maximum stage for each expansion...
Like ARR-> Zeta, HW->? ,???->??? you get the last badass relic... But it's just a thought

The only way having a bard Zeta would help you with a DRK zeta [if we get them], is that you'll have all stages unlocked and won't be forced to do them in order. After you get the final dungeons items now for your bard Zeta, you'd be able to take up the same quests again and just hold onto the items. Same goes for the Zodiac stones and the Alexandrites. But I don't know if we're getting a Drk zeta. iirc though, I think relic's are done and they will be introducing something new and that the current zeta users would be getting some kind of head start? In either case I'd wrap it up just for the sake of having a maxed out weapon, unless you're in a FCoB group.

This is not what the OP asked.

Considering that new jobs won't indeed get a Zodiac weapon, I hope that any Zodiac can provide a boost to any future Relic.
Imagine like the new relic asks for a Key Item that you could obtain either by giving a Zeta or by doing the first steps of the new chains of Relic quests.

There is absolutely no information on the 2.X relics aside from "it will give you a boost". A "boost" can just mean that you are doing 10dps more than the other guy. A "boost" can mean that if you completed a Zeta you can skip stage 1 of a new upgrading item. The latter is everyone's fantasy with no facts to back it. The former, while horribly underplayed, is probably the hard truth.

Square Enix have been continuously making the game better for new people to get into. What the Zeta gives in 3.X, probably will not be something exclusive or game-changing. If it was, there would have been more information for it by now.
