As far as we know, owning a zodiac zeta will only allow you to buy any 2.0 relic step from gerolt for glamour purpose

This may be all there is to it. I was initially thinking that somewhere around 1/2 of the initial [new] relic quest or first upgrade quest would be eased for Zeta owners, but I'm not even sure that makes much sense. The fact that a player acquired a Zeta weapon shows that they don't really have a problem grinding out a weapon, so why reduce that grind for them specifically?

They might do something with it, but more and more I'm thinking I won't finish my MNK's weapon. Those dungeon drops are few and far between and with the 'new darklight' being i170 it seems all but certain that a weapon above i135 will be absolutely simple to pick up after I've leveled a bit.

Once you reach level 55, everything will be better than anything you have at i135. You can trash all poetic/dreadwyrm after you beat Ravana or so. Just the time to get a few drops.

Some questions for you guys who's been playing for the past year or so because i just came back from a long break.

1.Is there any perks to get relic weapons to Zeta stage when Heavensward is live?
2. Will the whole zodiac questline to get the weapon to zeta be gone in the expansion?

perks as in, "nerfs" ? Yeah there will be. The nature of said nerfs is still unknown though.

zodiac questline won't be gone in the expansion as it's going to be nerfed. Though starting 3.1, a new relic will come, so zodiac might become a "2.0 artifact" you can no longer get at that point, to distinguish veterans from newer players.

Sorry my first question was actually asking if it's even worth it to do the zodiac weapon quest now or leave it as it is. Well i hope just having my relic zenith weapon is enough to set me apart from the totally new players.. cos it would suck since i got them from way back in 2.0 when killing the 1st 4 primals is a real challenge.

Unless you've got a team to help you grind through it, or you're a perfectionist and want the title and shiny weapon. No it's not worth it to go for Zeta at this point in time as the expansion is right around the corner.

No zenith isn't enough to set you apart from totally new players as getting to that stage has been trivialized. But on the other hand Zenith really isn't that much of a show of skill, but a willingness to grind. If you're looking for items to show off, the best to get is the dreadwyrm set atm from FCoB.

I would guess that if the Zeta is not surpassed at launch with any of the new weapons, it will be 2 weeks after the 23rd June when Alexander opens up. Unless you want the glamour from any of the stages for the class you are going to main, I would not recommend putting effort or time into it.

The Zeta questline will be getting "nerfed", so don't feel like you have to race for it. Also with the ilevel going above 170, it's even harder to see why everyone is making a fuss over the Zeta. It will probably be irrelevant come level 55.

If you are going to main one of the new classes, there is even more reason not to bother as the Zeta will become completely irrelevant. Unless SE invent a quest for a new relic in 3.1 where you can convert an old relic towards any other classes relic to skip a stage or 2, there is no reason to try to grind it out and even then you would be spending months just to skip a 1 hour or 2 hour quest.
