When there are other large plots available, nobody's going to pay him a relinquish fee in order to buy the plot back at full price when he could just go buy one at discounted price elsewhere.
That sucks OP, hopefully a different GM will be able to offer you a solution. If you were on Jenova, I could probably scrap something together to fix thatIf there are still plots available, I'd say just get back to... work..
It sucks but hey at least you have another shot at it and you can keep the personal house for yourself.
A different gm has contacted me and a few other fc mates. It seems the violation of policy initially referred to, was talking about other peoples accounts and so the advice to sell the plot was just his way of going an extra step. It seems that despite other officers having a stake in the matter, i am the only one that the gms can deal with since I'm fc leader. The Gm that eventually contacted me has let me know that an investigation has been started. They asked for extra details and it like just maybe, I might get a refund. I'll keep you guys apprised. Thanks for all the nice words and advice offered. Hopefully by tomorrow, my fc members are no longer destitute.
This is one area I am completely disgusted with how Squenix does things.
Had this been a problem on WoW, you would've had your housing switched from Personal to FC without any issue, after waiting a short while to get a reply to your ticket.
Squenix has poor in-game support, they need to learn from how Blizzard runs things. Hell, you can get a list of all the items you sold or destroyed and I think its 1 restoration a month or something, because mistakes happen.
Yeah, I won't deny that it can be improved on... a lot. Several other games I've played had more responsive support. Even DCUO has unlimited restorations. It took roughly about 30-45 mins and then you got mail with whatever you had lost. However, the agent that contacted me seems happy to help so I'll definitely take it.
"We understand how upsetting it can be no longer have an item you had previously, and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused for you. Since we understand how important an item like this can be to your enjoyment of the game, we will be glad to assist you in attempting to recover it.
We have gathered the information provided in your call detail and submitted your request for further investigation. Once your item loss has been verified, a GM will contact you either in-game or through Mog Mail with the results. Our investigation may take some time to conduct, and we appreciate your patience during this process."
That's what i was mailed. i'm so excited. YAY!!!
This is just...scary, to be honest. Downright scary. Things looking positive right now though, so I hope that's a good sign and not a false ray of sunshine. Here's to having it sorted out well.
On that note... one more reason why FC and personal housing should not be mixed up like this. :|
I'd laugh if a GM told u to read the fine print more carefully next time, truth be told. Reading things and understanding can prevent like half of the problems ppl have lol.
lol when we were buying our fc mansion, I kept telling my friend (at 7 in the morning after I woke him up from sleep to buy the plot) dude, make sure you buy it for fc, make sure you buy it for fc.. do not buy personal, FC!!
In hindsight that was completely unnecessary as he wasn't even a second lieutenant![]()
This is why they need separate areas for FC and personal housing. It would avoid so much confusion.
