If anything, it took a month before anyone here (that missed the JP answer being relayed by another forum poster in the 'show your au ra!' thread) to ask the same question. All the EN team had to do was wait for someone to ask it.

To be fair though it would be a nice concept and add more uniqeness to our characters though there's alot of unique people out there alrdy you need to think they would have to do the same for Miqo and their markings and I do believe that might just be abit too much to the workload so I cannot really see it happening.

Oh and then they would have to give everyone a free fantasia to change their characters.

That is complete crap that our rep's hands are so tied behind their backs. Just read the post that they can't release much of anything (Naming Conventions) because they are too busy with the expansion. What that tells me is that there is one hell of a process for our own reps to come here and answer anything.

Maybe it did have to wait to be translated, maybe they had it translated back then. I don't know. What ever happened between then and now is complete guess work. I'm just saying what I see.

And I think I'll refrain from such comments in the future. ;p

No they really don't. You can only see the markings from the front and from the side (hair permitting), if you have a hood, sometimes you can't even see them at all.

From the front, from the back, from the side, through hoods, and through hats. They're always going to be present and noticeable. They are basically Au Ra's "ears". This thread is basically asking to be able to change Au Ra's "ears", just like Elezen and Lalafels.

I agree, unlike the miqo'te markings the Au Ra Horns are a major part of their face, I was actually shocked we were not able to customize it in the benchmark since the horns and scales are what defines the Au Ra as a race.

I remember there was also that thread where someone commented that the female Au Ra faces were so different from each other that it was actually much easier for players to make "clones" of each other. You knew immediately what face option that player used, whereas other races it's not as prominent. I thought that was a little silly at first reading it because face wise Au Ra has the same tweaking choices that every other race has, and each face can look very different from the default settings.

But now revisiting this thread, I think I can see why that other thread came to be. The horns as they currently are are like a giant red flag that says "I picked face #1!". When everyone's running around with the same horns, which are so large and distinctive, suddenly you notice immediately what features were available to each face. It actually takes away some of the hard work customizing your face requires because the very first thing people will see is "oh, you picked those horns, so you have x face too".

I'm sorry but what's the hold up?
It's been exactly 1 month since this topic was asked and not a single thing has been said.
At least throw us a bone and say "Oh we forwarded this to the team" or "We don't know yet".
The character creation was pretty lacking in terms of uniquness like they said it would be, the only thing that I saw that was really out there
was the eye thingies and the amount of skin colours choices.
Even the tails...what, was like 3 tails to pick.
I just hate being left in the dark when we got less than a month before HW hits.
