    I disagree with 1/2hr moves. But I quite like the idea of some form of desperation move/move sets that are player specific, changes the nature of existing moves, and not so extreme as party wide Limit Breaks.

    For example, monks being able to trigger mantra so that it heals the party for damage dealt, basically an AoE life on hit.

    Don't think 2h abilities have a use in FFXIV's paradigm. However the poster QQing that FFXI was being compared can go kick rocks. Wow, people comparing mechanics from the previous MMO Square Enix create... what a concept!!!

    An ultimate attack should be something for the endboss.
    2 min would be too short for something like this. More around 10 minutes so you don't use it on every trash pull.

    So you think 2 hour CD skills fit perfect into a game where dungeons are cleared within 15 minutes? 2 hours is just too long.

    With the combat speed that XIV has, I don't think having a 2h cooldown would make sense at all

    I don't think they fit in this game. We have too many instawipe mechanics and it would suck if you popped a 1hr cooldown and then wiped cause this one person didn't stand on a platform or something like that

    We actually do have our '2hr' abilities. It's just that this game is so fast-paced compared to XI that 2 hours is just too long to wait for it to recharge. And no, it's not the Limit Breaks. It's the 5m abilities. Every ability that takes 5 minutes to recharge is our '2hr'.
