Suggestions from a new player

I was a crafter before leveling DoW/DoM so I had Physical Level 50 when my highest DoW was 30 so it's moot pre or patch 1.18, lol. I have zero problem killing a bunch of Fachan (deadliest leve mobs yet) with my CON, my Mage stat is only 40 INT 60 MND 40 PIE.

This is where I refer back to the "And I think most of the folks here don't know what it's like starting from scratch with physical level 1 with 1.18." Remember as a higher physical level, you have more points to play around with. You and I can pump at least 80 Vitality for that HP buffer and still have some have decent mage stats. Outfitted ourselves due to our previous time investments in crafting, connections, and/or pre-gil inflation. Use Stygian Spikes to keep that MP up longer, maybe we even have a recovery ability like Second Wind or Aegis Boon so we're not seeing red HP after getting hit by a single weapon skill.

A new conjurer in Gridania is going to have a difficult time soloing.

Lol i have no skills but Con skills so far, im guessing you dont know what its like trying to take down a 23 opo at Con lvl 17 rank 13, i could describe the fight since its like rythem to me now lol starts of with it gaining tp with ranged attacks while i can get 2-3 moves in then it unloads and spams its kick move forcing me to cure after every tp move and trying to dps it down at the same time...1 mistake and im dead

Because I didn't start from scratch, correct? And FYI, crafting wasn't going to net you as much gil as you would have liked, in fact I was bleeding gil faster than any newbie currently playing. They made crafting a lot easier/less expensive now. Even with the nerf gil reward newbie crafters now don't have to go around begging for material like I had to. Yep, begging.
