Just that the jobs they presented after NIN had actual changes mentioned. SMN for example, as well as BRD and SCH. Actual new mechanics were discussed there, so time constraints are not an excuse for why NIN's presentation was underwhelming.
Could it possibly be that they're still withholding information from us? Like, say, they didn't show us everything regarding job abilities to come?
I mean, level 50 to 60 -- I only just now thought of possible new traits that might make the skills even better. And maybe those were just a select number of skills they talked about.
What it seems like everyone's forgetting is there will be life beyond 3.0. It's only set in stone until they decide to change it. For better or for worse, I don't know.
Three Ilm Knights, One Thousand Malm Road
Of course they haven't shown us everything. There were abilities shown that weren't discussed at all. Nobody can say that all the changes we're getting will be bad or good, all we can say is what the presentation at the Live Letter made it look like, whether it was amazing or a letdown. And NIN's presentation was a major letdown. That doesn't mean that NIN won't be amazing with Heavensward, it just means that NIN's presentation was very sad in comparison to DRG and MNK, and didn't exactly raise people's expectations - quite the opposite. So people are worried.
they have new mechanics, people just focus on the positional as if yoshi said thatHowever, currently there are more times where you continuously use Huton which caused many situations where other ninjutsu wasn't being used as effectively. Therefore you'll be able to extend the effect of Huton. By combining new weapon skills in the rotation you’ll be able to maintain the Huton effect, so you can now use ninjutsu other than Huton to output much higher DPS.
Furthermore, we have added positioning to several weapon skills. Current ninja doesn’t have much positioning and was able to attack from any direction freely, so we included positioning for some.
Other than this, we added an ability which adjust another party members enmity. Ninja’s specialty is to be able to deal large damage from the start of the battle, so this skill is in place to support the tank in a situation where the enmity becomes unstable.
"now ninja:
we have added positioning to several weapon skills and nothing else
. nect job
Adjusting enmity for a single target is hardly exciting. And being able to extend Fuuton only leads to Raiton being used more often - Raiton isn't new or exciting either. And those two things are the only stuff they mentioned for Ninja.
imo loosing mobilty as BRD isn't exciting either.
BRD(as most of the jobs) also got only 2things mentioned. Doesn't mean they won't have anything else.
