The whole Summoner "has been re-worked" is sad

I've just realized that this is a perfect example of how the internet will complain over anything. People don't like the fact that SMN is "too weak" and yet they complain when it gets abilities that boost it's damage capabilities......

Cuz we dont want more "nuker" skills... we want to be SMN not BLM/Blue mages

Exactly what makes this any different than any Black Mage spell, its not like this thing is a devastating 9,999,999 attack that blows up part of the land, its simply a pillar of light. But I guess ooo shiny!

On a more serious note, no one knows the true extent of this expansion, so how about holding your willy in your pants until the expac comes out and then you can run naked through the street yelling about all the injustices in the world.

People don't like the way that the egis look but then complain when it's announced that there are future plans for egi glamouring rather than introducing new raw summons. People don't like the way SMN plays yet continue to play it when they have plenty of other classes to choose from....

I don't get what YOU dont get, simply giving us a Bahamut stance dosnt make us some godly powerhouse nor does it fix the 100 broken aspects of this job, open your eyes

Yes because ontop of having to dodge the split second one hit attacks this game has for all the end game fights, i also want to manage where my pet is standing while also trying to dps, your right, sustain and place is all I need, I must have been born yesterday

Do me a favor, go do the final boss of keeper of the lake and tell me how much time you spend using place and sustain

You want to keep your Egi alive, correct? Then make use of those two skills to keep it alive. You can command your pet while moving and also weaving it between GCDs. If I can do it on the controller, then you can as well.

Rarely. Smartly place the Egi in the correct place and they won't take too much damage. Sustain for unavoidable AoEs. Excuses, excuses.

Those who know about Akh Morn most likely has either beaten T13, are super close to beating it, or plan on doing so at some point. Seriously after Teraflare once I saw this move come out I was hype, I was ready, I could feel the win on my tongue.....and then we wiped soon after and the DF party disbanded lol. (Moving on lol) Its one of the biggest, baddest primals' strongest move out there for you to now use.

Very true, I also use a controller for my SMN and avoiding pet dmg is def doable with those two. You can either place them smartly and use sustain (Titan fights make great use of this when Ruru is off the ledge still doing damage.) or even for when you want to move them, clever use of Heel also does the trick. In Keeper specifically, you know where the boss' biggest hits are so hit that heel button and once they are back where you are in a safe spot hit obey and resume as normal. Its a good idea for you to preemptively move anyway as to not interrupt spell casting too much, so kill 2 birds with one stone and have Ruru tag alone. Iffy unfortunately you'll have to time it but its not too hard to do.

In terms of adding on competing in dps.....that shouldnt be a big worry in Keeper of the Lake honestly and in high raid content where you may be more so worried about dps there's not much of moving that needs to be done for your pet. Place and Sustain is all that's needed, sometimes just one is needed.
