except there is zero challenge to RNG. try again.
that 27 runs of CB Mines hard mode i did to finally get the drop sure was challenging *eye roll*
so your saying it's just as easy to run a dungeon 27 times as it is to run the dungeon 3 times? Id love to see you run a dungeon 27 times just as easy as i can run it 3 times. The more rare an item is the more difficult it is to obtain, i can't see how anyone can disagree with that.

you missed the point. ease has nothing to do with it. The person I quoted said "Sure, lets make an MMO with no challenging content at all". My sarcastic comment was to show how even though it took me 27 times, there was no challenge. It was just frustrating because it was RNG. RNG does not equal challenge.

Let's see...i have finished my first zodiac took me 6 months, i am working on 2nd, i am having terrible time in lost city of amdapor, please SE make this quest a little more barrable, over 15 lost city today, carrying new players and guiding them, i am doing my best to help the new players, but there need to be a result or a better chance of getting an item at the end , this is redilcus.. please nerf this quest the other parts are so easy compared to this.
i had a blm today, item level 80 weapon , artifact and mnd accressories? i didnt back out, i helped him through the dungen, i am helping new players all the time ,but not getting anything in return is a bit stupid and sily, please give us a better chance of gettign these items, specially if we are helping the new players, giving something back to the community, please SE!!
Getting the first Relic part requires going through the HM Primals and the Dorme Chimera... something that has very long queues.
Getting the Zenith Relic takes no effort
Getting the Atma Relic involves chasing F.A.T.E's around and praying to the RNGesus,
Getting the Animus Relic is actually a perfectly acceptable grind. Chop the book prices in half and it might take the average person a week.
Getting the Novus requires infusing the weapon with 75 Materia, unfortunately you are punched in the gut if your server has no available III or even IV materia for your gear. There is no way I'm going to spend several million gil just to get the last 10 materia needed. So this needs to change. SE could either just 100% everything and allow any materia, or they could just nerf it entirely so that each materia counts as 5 infusions. Also blow a hole in the RMT market while they're at it.
Getting the Nexus requires light and I have not gotten that far, but seeing "light farms" mentioned every so often suggests that this is also a grind. I'm not sure how reasonable of a grind it is. But I'm sure if someone wants to use it as glamor they would want to get it right where they want it before glamoring it onto something else.
Getting the Zodiac Braves also looks like a stupid grind as well, one that is meant to take advantage of crafters, but in practice is also a rip off as well.
Getting the Zodiac Zeta seems to be some combination of the grind for the Atma and Nexus.
Like I get why these exist, they are gil/material/tome sinks but when you can just get a better weapon using straight tomes, you probably should just have those steps nerfed already.
As someone with 2 zeta's and getting light while at the same time trying to get drops for the 3rd zodiac/zeta I can say that yes it's time it should be nerfed... maybe double the drop rate or even better keep it as it is but add sympathy to the chance each time it doesn't drop(doubt it will happen but maybe think about it for the future).
But even with all of that RNG is RNG. A friend and myself are working on our third. Sometimes she gets the drop first time running it, sometimes I do, sometimes she'll have to grind a dungeon 20 times+, sometimes I will(pharos how I hate you for those trolls TWICE some 40 runs, along with ak).

The first quest line to get your relic was the best. all you have to do is defeat several challenging optional bosses.
after that, SE just forced us endgame players to do those boring low level content over and over, in order to make the game look good to the casual/new players "oh lots of people are doing content! this game has so many players!"
I have had enough. new players should do low level content, endgame players should do endgame content.

I'm surprised this thread is still going. You all know OP wont understand what the majority is saying so why keep trying. I was one of those people who had good RNG and so what? my FC mate had the same issue you have right now but he just sucked it up and kept trying and eventually got it. Just keep trying I mean i have been farming for titan pony for few months and still haven't got it because RNG roll is trolling me...but im still trying. Stop complaining and play the game nothing is going to be changed until heavensward. Anyway im out and all i can say is...

What's with all the I-have-to-get-it-nownownow attitude with the zodiac quests? They've already announced a nerf to the quests come Heavensward, so just be patient. @_@

and they'll make a new quest similar to that.
I don't like it. endgame players should spend most of their game times to do endgame content, not being forced to do FATEs or run low level dungeons 50 times.
grinding is bad enough but grinding boring content is way worse than that. at least make us run Alexander 50 times and not old content again (for the new relic quest, I hope).
Then don't do it..? You could spend that time ignoring the relic to do more endgame content. Also, there are many other alternatives to the zodiac weapons, so technically you're not roped into doing it. o_0
