This thread is not mine, but I come here today just to ask for tips, just like OP did. Lol. I will begin my sch today *-* excited.

    I have a question:
What is that so-called micro manage fairies?Use fairies buffs manually? Manually cast embrace (why?) ? Do macros to cast embrace with adl /physick?
And... Big question. Eos or Selene? :P

I must say english is not my primary language, so if you find some grammatical or syntax error, please tell me and I will edit my post. Thank you!!

Thanks for the tips so far everyone!

Using the Faerie buffs automatically is what I currently do, especially on Eos. I don't bother with macros for Adlo/Physick. The decision of "Eos or Selene" comes from "Do you expect to be spending a lot of time stuck healing?" in which case I use Eos to help alleviate it. Otherwise, I use Selene to help speed-up already-easy fights. I've been using Eos exclusively for Stone Vigil for instance, because (especially with new tanks) I have to deal with a lot of damage and AoE mechanics damage. Having Eos helps ease that process and let me DPS sometimes.

You can manually set Embrace for healing multiple targets at a time manually (the tank and a DPS who got hit by a mechanic for instance) but I personally haven't made that step yet.

Micro managing your pet is controlling where they are located (moving them around) to be able to make the most out of their spells, as well as manually controlling what they do. Manually controlling the buffs can help you use the buffs that are needd in the situation, rather than the pet doing it automatically and not choosing the correct one. You may not need Fey Glow, for example, but Selene would use it regardless. Manually controlling Embrace allows you to heal two people at once, or healbomb a single target. If her Embrace would barely help a Tank, but you could heal hem full with a Adlo+Lustrate, and a DPS has also taken damage is one example (I believe). Eos or Selene? Depends on the situation. Selene is good if you could use the extra DPS buff, Eos is good if you need the extra survivablity.

Again I don't play SCH very often, but this is the general information I have gathered.

Micro managing is the fun part of scholar for me, squeezing all that healing out of the fairies is less I need to heal, which means more DPS I can dish out, or less my whm partner has to heal. You'll want to ensure that your fairy is placed in such a way that it is in range to buff any who need it. How you'll use your cooldowns with Eos will likely differ player to player based on preference, but Eos is typically better to use when learning an encounter because of the restorative buffs that make recovering from mistakes easier than Selene. If you leave Eos on Sic, she will use every cooldown at the start of a battle and continue to use them as they come off cooldown, which oftentimes leaves you high and dry when you actually need AoE healing. Selene will rotate her buffs accordingly, and the impact of Sic is much lower with her.

Perhaps as important as managing cooldowns, is the manual use of Embrace. You'll notice that a fairy on Sic will automatically cast embrace when a party member reaches 80% or so. This can be less than ideal, especially if you're trying to DPS on top of heals, because your fairy is already behind 20% by the time it starts healing. On Obey, you can start casting embrace on the tank immediately starting the encounter, making it less likely to fall behind and require your intervention, which leaves you to your own devices, dealing with mechanics, DPS'ing, opening doors or what have you. I typically advise against macro'ing embrace into your heals, because there are situations where you would like to heal one target, and have your fairy heal a different target, which is more difficult to accomplish if you're macro'd into healing the same target all the time.

Well, this doesn't seem answered yet, so here:
    Two reasons mainly:
    1) So your fairy doesn't herpaderp heal someone else while you want her to heal the tank - She has a strange priority system sometimes when multiple players are on low health and usually in a manner that you do not want. While not foolproof, it -seems- to suppress her random urges to heal random players.
    2) pre-casting with your fairy. Otherwise your fairy would wait till someone's low enough for it to trigger it's auto-healing.

I honestly haven't really experienced this. People keep bringing up how bad Eos/Selene are at picking targets and junk, but for me she usually does good enough. I don't do coils/extremes yet so this might be why I don't notice it.

It's more of an OCD thing if anything. Well, for me anyway. When I'm on Scholar I'd "demand" full control on the fairy. She simply annoys me to no end when she acts like some 14 year old school girl that could be on MTV.
"damnit heal the tank! That guy who's near death can wait!"
    "NO! I'm 14 now I do what I want!"

Lol. Oh okay. I was almost like that before, but I've almost become lazy. Also I couldn't be bothered controlling Embrace.

I have Selene on Sic like 90% of the time now, and I use to have her on Obey, because I'm just trying to get through things until AST comes out.
