Honestly if wings were added I would feel like this game would start turning into another chinese/korean mmo. Wings really wouldnt make much sense unless they were like the jetpack experiments, or if AuRa had wings due to their origin. But if AuRa were given wings then everyone would bich and complain that its unfair lol. Its best to stick to actual flying creature mounts.
(FYI: I have nothing against wings in games, personally love them in previous games I played but it really doesnt make much sense to have "wings" in this game.)

Overstatement? Overstatement. This game has very little cash shop content, and it's very minor.

Most of the glamour gear I see people using is obtained ingame.

Because it doesnt eliminate mounts as a whole. If we had the ability to fly without mounts they would become completely useless.

The wind resistance, controls, sounds and animation made it feel a lot more like flying than other games.
Actually got a sense of vertigo.

FFXIV's flying might be like that from the previews they've shown, but I'd have to actually try it out to see.
Of course any gliders would have more freedom than in Archeage since you couldn't gain altitude with those.
