Make it harder to report cheating? I think I've heard it all now. I don't mind you playing devils advocate but from responses I see you post on other subjects I think you are Jjust bored. You have yet to produce any credible counter argument so I think his debate is not really going anywhere.

On the note of if that you is in reference to my posts about the current report system (I doubt it is but I like to cover my bases). Well then no where did I say to make it harder to report cheating, and quite frankly I don't think anyone else has said that (at least not recently in the thread). However making it too easy to report players does have its down side like mentioned above. If you think that it won't be exploited then you are pretty naive to the world to scumbags. I don't think anyone is saying that we shouldn't be able to report illegal activities, however what a lot of people are forgetting is that ANY tool/power you give to the honest player you also give the dishonest player.

If you think the game is filled with honest people then sit down for this next part: it isn't.

I believe you are talking about something totally different. We are discussing wanting SE to make it easier to report bots and RMT activity. Since the 2.0 early days of people claiming they illegally had their gil deleted by SE has no one claimed to have been banned or abused by SE in any way. You argue only for the sake of arguing without any backing to your claims outside of conjecture. We are asking for a needed way to make reporting bots easier and you are saying that it would cause bad behaviour? You can already report people and involve retainers in your report as well as suspicious activity because I have already reported retainers.

Abusive people will report regardless if it is easy or harder to go through the reporting steps. All this will do is allow people who are on a ps4 and have to use a controller to have an easier time with more options. You want to help bots with made up excuses of report abuse (which the ability to report has been around since 1.0) so after SE looks over at the people who are abusing the report system will most likely end up shooting themselves in the foot over the matter.
