Yup Aion sucks, it had alot of potential but failed to deliver. I did love it's wings and being able to fly tho.

If you could actually fly with them, sure. Wings instead of mount, maybe.
Otherwise just for float skill (which we won't get i'm sure, as you could just trololol Titan; unless it's like with Xande fight, which would make wings pointless)
Having big, stiff wings, just bobbing around as you run, would be kinda meh. Ruin immerzon ermergerd /wrist.

Yeah. You missed their point. I'm sorry let me clarify:

They're saying if you think wings "make no sense" and therefore shouldn't be added into the game, then other things that "don't make sense" such as, what they listed, should also not be in the game. I didn't see how they were straying from the topic.

If wings were added, I'm sure SE would give them more credibility than a snowman tank or bikini white mage.

Man people in final fantasy have been fighting in outfits that they looked like they could have come out of the local s&m club for years, where as I think I could count the number of protagonists that got wings on 1 hand.

So yea, bikini armor is totally normal in the final fantasy universe. Maximum anime wings? Not so much.

Those Aion wings are pretty fugly, sorry....
They're too big too. I don't really like the idea of "wings" but that's just me. I mean, if they were a better size than those examples (say, NOT three times the width of your own character? geez) then it wouldn't bother me as much but.

And now let me clarify for you. Nowhere in my original post did i say they made NO sense. (please read it.) I said that airships and flying creatures make MORE sense than wings. See what I did there? More =/= No. Please try to keep up. Sometimes adding stuff to a game doesn't make it better. Just makes it more wowesque which is what some of the WoWfans are trying to make XIV into. By adding these features (in my case of this post, wings) which are not part of the FF series history (please check it) diminishes what makes this FF and that is why I say (in my opinion) that SE won't do wings.
