Yeah. You missed their point. I'm sorry let me clarify:

They're saying if you think wings "make no sense" and therefore shouldn't be added into the game, then other things that "don't make sense" such as, what they listed, should also not be in the game. I didn't see how they were straying from the topic.

If wings were added, I'm sure SE would give them more credibility than a snowman tank or bikini white mage.

And now let me clarify for you. Nowhere in my original post did i say they made NO sense. (please read it.) I said that airships and flying creatures make MORE sense than wings. See what I did there? More =/= No. Please try to keep up. Sometimes adding stuff to a game doesn't make it better. Just makes it more wowesque which is what some of the WoWfans are trying to make XIV into. By adding these features (in my case of this post, wings) which are not part of the FF series history (please check it) diminishes what makes this FF and that is why I say (in my opinion) that SE won't do wings.

They may not be frequent but they're there. And it's not like the OP is asking for wings to be permanently protruding from their back. Only a temporary thing. I don't see what's wrong with asking for more variety of flight options. Especially options you don't have to use. Also, there's absolutely no need to get snarky.

Don't like? Don't use. And this game is apart of FF series so if they add wings, by damn they'll add wings if they want to.
I'm all in for extra fun stuff in this game. I dunno how I feel about personal wings
but eh...people will use it and it doesn't ruin my gameplay so I dun careeee!

For immersion purposes, Cid could make some Magitek stuff if he wanted to.
