Bump
Friend had the idea of adding Onion Knight + Puff of Darkness as one of the choices from the LotA/ST/WoD Weekly quest alongside Tomestone/Carboncoat/Carbontwine, I think that's a good idea ^^
Been trying to get this. Its actually worse then Kirin to get. 10% drop rate roll vs 23 other people. This thing should drop every time due to the amount of people have to roll against.
Got every single drop from WoD, still no minion.
Feel free to send it to my Moogle Mailbox Yoshi, thanks.
Ugh yes please. @_@ I've only see Puff of Darkness drop two times since I've been running it. And I've never seen Onion Knight. :<
I know someone who's done that, they had the Onion Knight minion and rolled on another anyways. They won that second one too. Whether it was an accident or on purpose, made my jaw drop at the level of stupidity some people can sink to.I think the biggest problem with them is how people who already have them, can still roll on them.
Why is that even a thing? As if rolling against an entire alliance isn't bad enough, you have people who already have the thing still rolling on it, and adding more competition for those who actually don't have it, or even outright taking it from them.
That and the fact that the droprates are so low are the reasons why I'll never get either minion (and my crap rolls).
Agree with this.Yes! They are non tradeable and non sellable, so literally the only thing you can do if you get a second one is throw it away.
Someone in my fc accidentally rolled on a second one and won it... she felt terrible, but you can't even give it away.
If you have already "used" the minion, you should not be able to roll.
I have both minions, but I used to keep rolling on them because I thought I could give it away to someone in my FC. Later I realized that they're untradeable, which made me very glad I never actually won another copy. I would have been mortified if I had won one and then been forced to just discard it.
It's concerning that SE allowed the function of players being able to roll on minions they already have. You would think that they would wonder, "Hey can players still roll on these minions even though they have it already? We should do something about that to enforce fairness for those who don't have it."
But no, perhaps Japan has become a land of sugars and rainbows and thought that no one would ever do that. *sarcastic voice*
I don't have the Puff minion yet because I always roll nothing higher than 50, and at this point, with the fail groups and good ol' SNG (Sh**ty Number Generator), I give up.
I fail terrible on the puff of darkness so far. Since WoD available I had run it 4 times/day until now, and my highest roll on it is 60 ._.
I think it would be better if players couldn't roll on minions they already have but you can't really say it's unfair the way it is now. That person had a 1/24 chance and now you have a 1/24 chance. Not really anything unfair about that in my opinion. It's concerning that SE allowed the function of players being able to roll on minions they already have. You would think that they would wonder, "Hey can players still roll on these minions even though they have it already? As for the overall drop chance, I think it's fine the way it is. It's a vanity minion, it doesn't do anything, it's not needed for anything. Some items should be rarer than others. At least it's not a piece of gear that you need to progress. I collect all the minions so I understand that gameplay and what players feel they "need" varies but I'd rather have an impressive collection (because of the rarity of some items) than a massive collection that is the same as everyone else's.
