You made it pointless by ignoring most of the people's replies and cherry picking and/or taking out of context people's responses in order to give power to your "argument". Now I wonder why do you even care about it? Are you a hero choosen by all the new players that will come when the expansion is out? Are you even sure they won't make any adjustments to fix that? Like either giving these quests a small amount of exp or increase their base gil/item reward? And even if they don't, it's not like they don't give you anything in return and it's not like there's no ilvl progressiong through it, as you need to increase your ilvl to progress in that content. If Yoshi-p says your ilvl 130 gear will be still useful, it's because it's kind of dangerous to go alone with some ilvl 49 gear... and as I already mentioned, DUNGEONS, TRIALS, stuff that still will be needed for the new roulettes and maybe relic quests.
YEAH, NEW PLAYERS DON'T GET GEARED UP THAT FAST. Even if the gear is handed out right now!
So do you think that new players should have to do 100 level 50 quests with no xp gain? If you answer yes, Im pretty much going to ignore you from this point on.You made it pointless by ignoring most of the people's replies and cherry picking and/or taking out of context people's responses in order to give power to your "argument". Didn't WE? Didn't we have to face Vishap at level 50? How would it be fair for a new player to hit Vishap at level 54....jeez...
I do think SE should bundle ARR with HW though...people gonna get upset if they think they only need to buy HW

Who is to say they don't already have a exp system in place for the current lvl 50 stuff, and we just don't get exp cause we are currently capped? It's like whe you do the roulette of a low lvl dungeon capped at 50 it says you get 0 exp and 1000 gil for using this roulette.
How is that unfair to us btw? We will still be doing those roulettes probably so we'll suddenly start getting exp for our current jobs as well as the 3 new ones. Just because we decided to play the game first you think SE should only think about the rewards current players should get? You know what? I didn't play the travesty that was 1.0. I think it's unfair that I can't have that tattoo vets get so they shouldn't get it either. Same princible really. (Yes I'm joking about the tattoo)

I have no problem really with the Astral story quests giving exp come expansion. Assuming they do, I am fairly certain that all the story quests combined wont give them more than maybe a level. Add on the trials and dungeons and they could be walking into HW content at 51 maybe 52.

I remember level 49 quests giving around 35k EXP. Let's say that the level 50 quests all give EXP following the scaling EXP formula and that gives us say 38k. AS you can see form your EXP bars, it takes 512k to level to level 51. Now People are throwing around the number 100 quests to finish the 2.55 storyline. With me so far?
If every quest gives out the same scaled 38k EXP, then 38,000 * 100 =3,800,000 EXP for finishing all the quests. Now EXP bars are probably gonna scale pretty hard as you get higher so now I'm gonna start ball parking guesses here. But let's say 512k to hit level 51
589k to hit level 52
623k to hit level 53
667k to hit level 54
701k to hit level 55
762k to hit level 55
Adding up all those estimated requirements places a THEORETICAL requirement to hit level 55 at 3,854k or 3,854,000. Now these are all ballparked numbers of course but you can see, there's quite a lot of incentive to leave those quests in game if they just slap an EXP award on them. And to solve the issue with overleveling current content? Level sync them to 50, but leave ilvl sync untouched. Easy PEasy lemon squeezy. Any objections to this proposed system?

Before I answer, answer ME first.
You are asking SE to remove most of the 2.1+ MSQ because they don't give you an exp reward. Because you're the Robin Hood for these new players that may or may not enjoy the MSQ post level 50. Having the option to either skip them or not, having plenty of geared up people that will burn the content down as they stand there still pre-buffing the group. And now you choose to ignore people because they don't support your argument, yet you are closing the debate by doing that, and then you have the nerve to say that this is "rather a pointless conversation."Now I wonder why do you even care about it? Are you a hero choosen by all the new players that will come when the expansion is out? Are you even sure they won't make any adjustments to fix that? Like either giving these quests a small amount of exp or increase their base gil/item reward?
