    In your config screen, check the last tab, is the box ticked ? Your "problem" is that you enabled the graphic representation of the game sounds ^^

    It's labeled as Visual Alerts so I didn't even think about it causing that.

    Um hmmm, I can't seem to find this Visual Alerts thing you're talking about and which 'config?' Character or system? Been throuh everything 10 times and don't see what to uncheck...
