Part of being good in a DPS class is knowing exactly when are the safe periods to use BfB. Assuming your tank is good, and you aren't ripping aggro off your tank, that 25% damage taken portion is negligible. Switching to a tank is fine and all, and it certainly requires less cross-class skills (if you are playing Warrior, PLEASE at least get Provoke. It's a key skill, and please don't be lazy about this).

If you don't care about the basics, I don't know how you expect people to help you out really. Most people are happy to help out, but you have to show that you have put in some effort yourself.

That's precisely the problem, most people don't understand where you're coming from.

Hell, I'm willing to bet it's people like you, who are in so deep into farming groups that are more willing than anybody else to HELP NOOBS to clear the content because that makes a potential party member next time you make a farm group..

This guy gets it right here. I love helping people get clears because it helps us both. They get the clear and the opportunity to get more loot. I get to widen my network and know more people to farm with. It's win/win.

Like, you do realize that it's a pretty significant minority of players that even knows outside information and game guides exist, right? This forum included.

How much you survive from the wide AOE Phoenix phase 3 FLAMES OF REBIRTH & Kaliya phase 2 Nerve Cloud?
I said barely, then he replied don't burden your healer with your death, your stat still low.
Keep on survive to give your best support for peon, foe and ballad.
I follow his advise.... But don't worry I will lvl up that because later on I still need it.

Nuyu, it sounds like you're a real go getter. Getting to 12 shows me you really do want to partake in this content, and by knowing you need blood for blood you know about a weakness and you plan on working on it. Honestly, I'd never worry about taking you to content because you clearly care. None of us started at 50 with all our abilities. We had to get there over time and work at it. You're most definitely on the right track. Just by acknowledging your weaknesses puts you above most of the types of players this thread is complaining about. I wish more people had the same attitude.

My main point here is about the veteran arrogant and unwelcoming attitude.

Just like my previous post I have mention about how difficult for me to seek assistance from veteran to clear t9 last 2 weeks.
Only 1 who is willing to come with me from all of them, keep encourage me even after I got kicked out after my first try.

Alright, bear with me here. How much HP do you have? Don't forget you have 10% echo now - I estimate as a Bard, you should have about 6.2 - 6.4k HP at least.

Just the T11 and T12 specifics. I speak from personal experience here, so your mileage may vary. I play a Ninja, and at i130, I have about 6.7k HP without food (Black Truffle Risottos HQ - with, I'd have about 6940 HP).

- Nerve Cloud: Is it mitigated with Virus/Dragon Kick/Storm's Path/Sacred Soil/Succor/Stoneskin? I've tried taking the full brunt of it, and took about 6.6k damage. If you at least had some of those mitigations up, then you should be fine. Also, I never pop BfB when it's about to cast Nerve Cloud, I'd cast it after it's finished casting. After Nerve Cloud, your healer should have a fair amount of time to heal you back up before the missiles.
- Flames of Rebirth: Does your group have enough DPS to push Phoenix into Phase 3 with only 4 Bennus spawned? If you do, your job should be considerably easier. The beginning of the phase is a really good time to use BfB - Flames don't do much damage at this stage, and you don't need mitigation to stay alive. Usually I only use BfB at the beginning of this phase, and I'd save the next one for Rebirth (beginning of Phase 4).

Do take your time and level Lancer, but don't completely forget about it either! Good luck. If you have more issues about how to further improve as a Bard, you can try the DPS sub-forums.
