    I agree, to a degree.

I myself am what a good friend calls a "casual elitist". I care about my progression, I do my own thing, I'm good at doing what I do because I have confidence in my abilities, my job... But I don't ride around on my horse and stampede people into the dirt, I do my best and help where I can. I don't show off my gear, I don't wave around my ilvl like it really matters(because it doesn't), I don't brag about my secret rotation that makes me better than you or any other MNK.... I just hang out with a few friends and try to enjoy this game for what it is and not what the community seems to be turning it into.

There is nothing wrong with labeling yourself as a good player, because people like others that really know how to help out in this game where the community seems just so crappy and inconsiderate. It's when you label yourself as a better player and run around with a cocky and arrogant attitude that really just does not sit well with others that only want help.

Edit: What I do not agree on is calling people out for not watching a video. I mean come on, it should not be a norm for new players to watch guides, because we should be the ones helping them from the start, a responsibility some of us ignore as a community.
