tanks have it rough

I laughed and I'm not even playing any tank class.

There's just one thing I have noticed: Whenever I queue for content that needs two tanks, and one tank is waiting as well, they leave when they have to wait longer than 2 minutes.. in most cases They're just too impatient due to their usually short waiting times! xD

Funny coincidence: Yesterday our insta-cued tank wanted to do a speed run of AV (for which I cued for on my lvl 47 BLM for 35 minutes). He didn't even bother saying "hi" just said, "run for the first boss" and took off.

As he disappeared off my mini-map moving toward the first boss, I replied "um. no. I didn't cue for 35 minutes for the minimum EXP this dungeon has to offer."

He d/c'd.

I reported him.

Everyone, (tanks in particular) need to be respectful of the others in the party. Just because your demand is high, that doesn't give you the power to be a a**h***.

But that can be spun around doesn't mean because you waited 35 minutes for a duty that your group is going to kill every single little monster for you.

Troll thread or not troll thread, there have been times when I've queue'd as DPS instead of tank specifically to invoke the longer queue times.

When working on my Zodiac weapons, for instance... You generally have to run the same dungeons over and over and over. Queueing as tank, you could theoretically make these attempts back to back, doing nothing but the same dungeon for hours at a time with no breaks in between. Big potential for burnout there. Queueing as a DPS, on the other hand, you're forced to spread out your entries, allowing you to use the queue times for other purposes (crafting, beastman dailies, whatever).

Now you COULD choose to queue as a tank, and take a deliberate half hour break between each attempt - but then you alway have that nagging voice at the back of your head... "Shouldn't you be focusing on this dungeon? Why aren't you in queue???"

It's a psychological thing. Queueing as DPS means you're working towards progressing your Zodiac and still getting other stuff done as well. It worked for me, at any rate; completed two Zetas now, working on them at a slow, easy pace, and never felt like I was burning out in the process.

well, no matter if DPS or Tank, instant or 3 minutes wait (because I cant wait longer...).
I still get a heart attack EVERY FRIGGING TIME the Queue window pops :|

Except for Healing, I dont queue as that :/

if i say Game A sucks and i truly believe game A sucks, i will often get called a troll, but it isnt trolling unless im saying Game A sucks just because the person i tell it to likes that game and i want to get a reaction.
i dont know you and i dont care to get a reaction out of you, its for the purpous of humor, now please move along.

I want to believe that you missed at least 3 queues while explaining how you weren't trolling, but would that make me a troll?
