    this game is designed as a Console MMO, just like FFXI was, point&click does not fit into that style

    Well yes and no. FFXIV isn't really action mmo like Tera etc. And with strategic nature of battle in FFXIV I think it would be good to have that option. Even upcoming big mmo ArchAge does have click to move as secondary to the wasd controls. Even wow has a click to move option
